DO SPRAY TANS STAIN?
Spray tans are water-based and should not stain. They may come off onto fabrics before your first rinse off, however, any transfer is washable.
HOW LONG BEFORE AN EVENT SHOULD I BE SPRAY TANNED?
Ideally about 30 hours prior. Sooner the better! A spray tan should always last in your beauty routine.
DO SPRAY TANS CAUSE ACNE?
The short answer is no. Spray tans are water-based and therefore, widely non-pore-clogging.
CAN I SPRAY TAN PRIOR TO VACATION?
YES! Spray tanning before vacay is super popular. You can even form a natural tan underneath a spray tan because a spray tan only affects the top layer of the skin.
DO SPRAY TANS ACT AS A 'BASE TAN'?
No. Spray tans do not provide any sun protection and cannot act as a base tan. Spray tans DO NOT protect against sunburns, they are entirely artificial. Use SPF over your spray tan.
How do spray tans work?
Spray tans affect the top layer of dead skin cells/amino acids on the skin's surface. The DHA in the spray tan changes the colour of the top layer of skin through a harmless chemical reaction. DHA, the active ingredient in most UV-free tanning products is derived from sugar cane extract and other natural sources.

All deposits made to Toronto Tans are non-refundable. However, for our tan services if you provide 48+ hours notice we will happily reschedule you. If you are no longer able to make your appointment at any time, please let us know ASAP and we will do our best to assist you! All training related deposits are entirely non-refundable, any training cancellations made within 10 days of your course date will be considered a 'no-show' and may be subject to an additional cancellation fee and loss of deposit. These terms apply once any deposit has been made.

We are super fortunate to have so many clients eager to get golden, which is why it's SUPER important to be exactly on time for your appointment. If you are running late to your appointment please let our team know asap, if you are more than 15 minutes late to an appointment it will automatically be treated as a no-show and the card on file will be charged. All no-show appointments and same day cancellations (within 24 hrs of appointment time) will be charged the full appointment amount plus HST. In order to protect our technicians time and expertise, clients who fail to pay their last minute cancellation fee will not be welcomed back until their outstanding balance is settled. All rescheduling must be done 48 hours prior to appointments, all deposits are non-refundable.To make changes to your appointment please follow the 'reschedule' button found on your appointment confirmation, the button will become inactive within 48 hours of your appointment time.If you would like to make last minute changes to your appointment and have missed the 48 hour window please reach out to us via email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will assist you with rebooking (fees may apply).
All cancellations within 48 hours due to sickness will be subject to the above policies, however, if ample time is provided the session may be credited and deferred to be used within 30 days of your original appointment date for a small fee.
